- Welcome to my website!
I am an Associate Professor of Management in Ottawa, Canada. I received my academic training and education in North America, worked in industry in North America and India, and also spent part of my early school years in Nigeria.
In my research, I am drawn towards inter-disciplinary work, approaches that are both theoretically and empirically innovative, and real world issues as the starting point of investigation. My ongoing research is on issues of global significance that focus on the interaction between organizations and institutions, and new organizing initiatives for socio-economic change. In my empirical work, I use both qualitative and quantitative methods with an eye on underlying philosophical - epistemological and ontological - issues.
I follow a highly interactive, case and discussion based approach to teaching. I teach in MBA (Executive/Regular) and undergraduate programs, and deliver lectures and workshops for PhD students. I have an interest in executive development across both for-profit and other forms of organizing.
When I'm not researching or teaching in my subject areas, I read and translate poetry, read news from around the world, play racquet sports, browse through bookstores, indulge in some yoga, and do some blogging.
